WELCOME TO LARKSPUR STRATEGIES

Larkspur Strategies helps executives and businesses tell their story and protect their reputation through communications and marketing programs. We provide branding, messaging, marketing and content strategy, tactics and measurement, as well as crisis communications and planning, employee communications, social and traditional media relations.

Founded and based in Denver, Larkspur provides in-depth knowledge to optimize clients’ communication strategies via short-term projects and ongoing retainers.

Carey Madsen has been developing and executing communications and marketing programs for 20 years, serving business of all sizes, from Fortune 100s to small businesses, start-ups and nonprofits.

Her expertise includes brand and message management, marketing and sponsorship strategy, public and media relations, employee and crisis communications, and content creation.

Prior to founding Larkspur Strategies, Carey oversaw operations for InView Communications, serving as managing director.

She has consulted for several marketing and communications firms and served in senior communications and marketing roles with Qwest and the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club.

Carey is an active member in both the Denver community and public relations industry management serving as a board member and treasurer of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Colorado Chapter, a board member of STAR-Denver and a member of the Denver Advisory Board. She has been recognized by the Denver Business Journal as a Forty Under 40 winner, and her work has earned awards from PRSA and other industry organizations.

She graduated from the University of Denver with a master’s degree in business administration, and earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado.

He has spent more than a decade building relationships with major national consumer and business brands. Shayne has a knack for building successful sponsorships programs with comprehensive ROI for notable clients, including: MillerCoors, State Farm, Ford, Shelter Insurance, Frito-Lay, Papa Johns, Kraft, Nabisco, Harley Davidson, Academy Sports, John Deere, Farmland, Brown-Forman, Diageo, Hyatt, Pizza Hut, Honda, CenturyLink, Verizon, and Popeyes.


Shayne graduated from the University of Arkansas and has done graduate work at American University.
